Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
